VWAP is the one line most professional intraday traders keep on their chart. Whether price is above or below it is a quick, powerful read on who's winning the day.

VWAP is the volume-weighted average price — the day's fair-value benchmark, the average price weighted by volume. Whether price is above or below VWAP is a quick read on intraday control: above suggests buyers are in charge, below suggests sellers.
What VWAP represents
VWAP is roughly the average price everyone who traded today got, weighted by size, so it's a natural line of “fair value” for the session, and a benchmark big institutions measure their fills against. That's why it acts as a magnet and a decision line: price tends to gravitate toward it, and its role as support or resistance depends on which side price is on.
Reading your position relative to it
Price above VWAP: the average buyer today is in profit and buyers are broadly in control — a bullish intraday tilt, and VWAP often acts as support on pullbacks. Price below VWAP: sellers are in control, the average buyer is underwater, and VWAP tends to act as resistance on bounces — a bearish tilt. A reclaim of VWAP (crossing back above) is a meaningful shift, as is losing it. Many traders simply prefer longs above VWAP and shorts below.
Above VWAP, the day belongs to buyers; below it, to sellers. It's the simplest “who's winning?” line on the intraday chart.
The quick takeaway
Above VWAP = buyers in control (VWAP as support); below VWAP = sellers in control (VWAP as resistance). It's a fast intraday bias and a key decision line, and crossing it matters. VWAP is one of the core levels on NoVo's dealer map, right alongside the gamma levels, so you always see which side of fair value the tape is on.
