QQQ · 0DTE dealer map

QQQ gamma & expected move, today.

QQQ carries its own fear. Nasdaq volatility (VXN) routinely diverges from the S&P's VIX, its expected move runs wider, and its dealer walls sit on different levels than SPY's. If you scalp tech, you trade QQQ's map, not a VIX read borrowed from the S&P. Here's the public view; the live QQQ dealer map is in Analyst.

About

Reading QQQ gamma, in plain terms

How to read QQQ 0DTE gamma today

QQQ's gamma exposure works the same way SPY's does — positive net GEX pins, negative net GEX amplifies — but the levels are the Nasdaq's own. Because QQQ is tech-concentrated, its implied volatility (VXN) and its expected move often run hotter than the S&P, so its walls sit further from spot in percentage terms, and the day has more room to travel than an S&P read would suggest. The call wall caps upside, the put wall supports downside, and the gamma flip marks where dealer hedging switches from damping to amplifying.

Why QQQ diverges from SPY

On risk-off days tech leads the drop and VXN spikes harder than VIX; on melt-ups QQQ's call wall is what to watch, not SPY's. Trading QQQ off an S&P map misses that. NoVo maps QQQ's net GEX, flip, walls and expected-move band live on the chart. The public VXN gauge below is the weather; the live QQQ dealer map is in Analyst, and the deep-dive covers why VXN matters.

FAQ

QQQ dealer map — common questions

What is QQQ gamma exposure (GEX)?
QQQ gamma exposure measures how much dealers must hedge as QQQ moves. Positive net GEX damps moves and pins price; negative net GEX amplifies them. Because QQQ is tech-heavy, its gamma levels differ from SPY's — Analyst shows QQQ's live net GEX and gamma-flip level.
What is QQQ's expected move today?
QQQ's expected move is the ±1-standard-deviation range priced by at-the-money implied volatility — and it typically runs wider than SPY's because Nasdaq vol (VXN) is higher. NoVo draws today's QQQ expected-move band on the chart live; the exact range is in Analyst.
How is QQQ different from SPY for 0DTE?
QQQ is more volatile and tech-concentrated, so its fear gauge (VXN) and expected move often diverge from the S&P's VIX, and its dealer walls sit on different levels. Scalping QQQ means trading the Nasdaq's own dealer map — which NoVo tracks live alongside SPY and IWM.
