Reading a Composite Volume Profile Across the Week
A single day's volume profile shows today's structure. A composite — several days merged — shows the levels the whole week is built on.

A composite volume profile combines the volume of several sessions (a few days, a week) into one profile, instead of one day at a time. It reveals the high-volume shelves and low-volume gaps that matter across the whole period — the bigger structure a single-day profile can miss.
Why composite matters
Intraday levels come and go, but a price where the market has traded heavily all week is a stronger, more durable magnet and support/resistance than one day's node. The composite's point of control is the week's fair-value center; its high-volume shelves are the levels multiple sessions have defended; its low-volume gaps are the fast zones between them. It's the difference between today's terrain and the week's terrain.
How to use it
Use the composite to identify the major levels that frame the week, then trade the daily structure within that bigger context. A day-trade that aligns with a weekly HVN (buying support that the whole week has defended) is higher-odds than one against it. A break out of the composite's range is more significant than a break of a single day's. Zoom out with the composite for the map, zoom in with the session profile and dealer levels for the entries.
One day's profile is the room you're in. The composite is the building — the levels the whole week is standing on.
The frame
Like all volume structure, the composite is context, not a trigger — it shows where the week's important levels are, and price action plus the regime decide what to do there. It's especially powerful stacked with the dealer map: a weekly high-volume shelf sitting on a monthly gamma wall is about as durable a level as you'll find. Read the composite for the week's skeleton, then trade the days that hang on it.
