Plenty of tools can draw a line on a chart. The hard part — the part that decides whether the line is worth anything — is everything around it: knowing when a level is actually loaded, knowing when a read has gone stale, and being honest afterwards about whether it held. NoVo treats all three as first-class problems.

Reading: a gate, not a trigger

NoVo never calls a level meaningful on a single condition. A read has to pass through a multi-stage gate, and every stage can downgrade it:

  • Is the move real? The tape has to show sustained directional pressure, not a one-tick spike that immediately reverses.
  • Does the structure agree? The directional read has to line up with where dealer positioning actually sits. A stale read gets discounted automatically.
  • How strong is it? Setups differ in weight — from a thin, single-level alignment to a price where several things stack on top of each other. The read says which one you are looking at.
  • Is price chasing a wall? If price has already been rejected from a key level, a breakout read into that same level stays weak until price actually clears it.

The principle is what matters: conviction is stated, not implied. A thin alignment is labelled a thin alignment, and you decide what that is worth in your own account.

Speed: the map has to be current

A level that was true four minutes ago is a different level. On Analyst the dealer map is recomputed every 60 seconds across SPY, QQQ and IWM. On Trader the same map is drawn on a live candle chart and redrawn roughly every five seconds, with price moving up to ten times a second, plus a structural audit at the top of every hour.

A good read acted on late is a bad read. NoVo redraws the map at tape speed so the level in front of you is the current one.

Scoring: the part most tools skip

Every read NoVo puts on the screen is written down and graded against what price actually did next. That is what produces the scored record on the setup in front of you — not a backtest of a strategy, but NoVo’s own history of calling this structure, misses included. It is the only honest answer to “why should I believe this level?”

What NoVo does not do is act on any of it. It has no connection to your brokerage, places no orders, and sets no stops or targets. Direction, strike, size, entry and exit are all yours, decided by you and placed by you at your own broker — the position-size calculator is there if you want a second opinion on the size.

A gated read, a map that stays current, and a record that grades itself. What you do with it is the part only you can do.
