On a quiet day, the market has a center it keeps returning to. That center is gravity — and fading the edges back to it is the calm-day bread-and-butter scalp.
Gravity is the |gamma|-weighted center of the dealer book — the price positioning pulls toward in a stabilizing regime. On a calm, positive-gamma day, that pull is reliable enough to build a repeatable reversion scalp around.
The setup
You want a calm, positive-gamma regime (the pull only works when the regime is calm) and price stretched away from gravity — typically extended toward the call or put wall. The further the stretch from center, the better the reversion.
Entry, target, stop
Entry: at the extreme — a rejection at the wall (fade back down with puts) or a hold at the put wall (fade back up with calls). Target: gravity, the center of mass. Stop: a decisive break of the wall you entered against — a break says the reversion failed and the day may be trending.
The trade is the round trip to the middle. Enter at the stretched edge, take profit at gravity, and get out if the edge breaks instead of holding.
When to skip
Skip it the instant the day stops being calm. If price reaches gravity and blows through it with no reaction, the magnet has failed — you're in a trend day, and fading is fighting the tape. Skip it in negative gamma entirely. Gravity is a reversion tool for a reversion market; when the market isn't reverting, this scalp isn't the trade. NoVo draws gravity live so you can see, in real time, whether price is respecting the center or ignoring it.
