Crypto analytics products sit in a broad band from free tiers up to institutional data platforms costing many multiples of a retail subscription. The retail band is where most traders shop, and within it the products differ more in scope than in price.

What tends to be free

Funding, open interest, liquidation totals and a BTC/ETH gamma summary — because the underlying data is public. Any product charging for only these is charging for presentation.

What the retail tier usually adds

History, breadth across coins, gamma by strike rather than a summary figure, and API access. Those are the four things that require an operation rather than an API call, so they are where a real price is justified.

Worth checking specifically: whether the history is genuinely stored or reconstructed on demand, since on-chain depth history cannot be reconstructed at all.

What almost nothing covers

The on-chain half. Most crypto structure products cover derivatives — perps, funding, options — and stop there, which leaves out every token that has no book and no perp, and that is most tokens by count.

The NoVo Crypto Market Map carries both halves for that reason: the dealer map where a book exists, and liquidity structure where it does not.

How to compare two products honestly

Three questions. How many coins, and does the number count anything with a book or everything with venue coverage? Is there a stored history, and how far back? And does it cover only derivatives, or on-chain as well?

Price differences within this category are small relative to the differences those three answers produce.
