CoreWeave shares staged an immediate rebound after Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang publicly signaled support for the specialized cloud provider, according to reporting from Benzinga. The recovery follows a wave of aggressive selling across artificial intelligence infrastructure names earlier in the session, when credit default swaps tied to CoreWeave blew out past 1,000 basis points amid mounting concern over debt loads across data-center operators.
TipRanks reported that Cantor Fitzgerald reiterated a buy-the-dip stance on CoreWeave, arguing that broader market participants were mispricing the company's long-term liquidity and cash-flow outlook. Benzinga had earlier noted that Huang dismissed broader AI demand worries, stating that Nvidia continues to book new chip orders on a near-daily basis despite the volatility rippling through hardware and infrastructure balance sheets.
That stabilization matters directly for index tape structure. Tech-heavy exposure has spent the session pinned in negative territory, leaving dealer hedging in an amplifying posture rather than a buffering one. QQQ trades at 727.96, trapped beneath its 738.69 gamma flip, with dealers short gamma down toward the 725 put wall. In short gamma, dealer flows accelerate moves in both directions instead of absorbing them, which explains why single-name credit jitters have quickly translated into intraday air pockets across tech.
SPY sits in an identical setup at 771.71, lodged underneath its 775.70 gamma flip with a 765 put wall marking the downside threshold. Until cash tech reclaims its flip level, relief rallies sparked by executive commentary are trading straight into short-gamma resistance, where dealers are forced to sell into declines and buy into rips rather than smoothing out the tape.
