Before a trade on SPY, QQQ or IWM, there are a few things worth knowing about dealer positioning. Where the call wall is. Where the put wall is. Which side of the gamma flip price sits on. How large the expected move is. An agent can gather those in one step. The design question is what it does after that.
The check
The agent calls one tool. On the free tier that is get_dealer_levels, which is delayed and holds back the flip and the expected move. With a paid key it is get_equity_map, which serves the map whole and current. It then states four things: spot, the walls, the flip and the expected move. Each with the reading’s age.
What it reports
A good report is plain. Spot is here. The call wall is this far above. The put wall is this far below. Price is above or below the flip. The expected move for the day is this size. Those are facts about where things stand. Background on the two less familiar readings is in the gamma flip and the expected move.
It should also say what it could not read. On the free tier the flip is gated, and the report should say withheld. A level that is old should carry its age. A report that hides a gap is worse than no report.
Where it stops
It stops there. It does not say the trade is a good idea. It does not say the wall will hold. It does not suggest a strike, a size or a stop. The levels describe dealer positioning now. They do not say which way price goes next, and an agent that speaks as if they do has gone past its data.
This is a rule you set. Tell the agent: report the levels and where price sits against them, then stop. Do not advise. If I ask what I should do, say that the tools do not answer that.
Why the small job is the right one
A check is valuable because it is the same every time. A pilot’s checklist does not have opinions. It makes sure nothing obvious was skipped. An agent that only checks will never talk you into a trade, and it will never talk you out of one for reasons you cannot see.
It is also safe by construction. NoVo’s tools only read. The agent cannot place the order it is not supposed to recommend. If you connect a broker’s server beside it, keep this agent’s instructions on the read side, as in pairing a market-data connector with your broker.
A sensible routine
Run the check when you sit down and again before you enter. If the two reports differ, the levels moved, and that is worth knowing. Keep both. The pair is a small record of what the map looked like when you decided.
The same levels on a screen
The agent reads the map that Trader draws: net GEX, the flip, the walls and the expected move, on a 5-minute cycle on Trader Pro and live on Trader Max. The tools are on the MCP & API.
