Ask an agent on Friday evening how the week went and it will write a smooth paragraph. Check where the paragraph came from. A model has no memory of Tuesday. Unless it read a record, the week it describes is a guess dressed as a recap.

Where the record lives

NoVo’s server returns history as well as the present, through more than one tool. get_dealer_levels has a history option that returns one ticker’s delayed level history. get_volatility_record ranks the VIX family against its own past. get_daily_strike serves The Daily Strike, NoVo’s own market desk, with its complete archive. get_futures_positioning returns the weekly Commitments of Traders figures.

With a paid key, get_session_history adds counts and medians over every session logged for one ticker. It describes what happened. It does not predict the next session.

What a weekly page holds

Keep it to a few sections. Where the walls sat at the start of the week and where they sit now. Where volatility ranks now, with the window it is ranked over. What futures speculators hold, from the weekly report. The week’s desk notes by date. Then the schedule for the week ahead, from get_economic_calendar.

Each section names its tool and the time of its reading. The positioning report needs extra care. It is published weekly, and its figures are already a few days old when they come out. The agent should give the report’s own date and should not call the figures current.

What the agent must not do

It must not fill a day it has no record for. If the level history starts on Wednesday, the summary starts on Wednesday and says so. It must not turn a week of readings into a story with a cause. The record shows that a wall moved. It does not show why.

It must not close with next week’s direction either. A summary that ends with a call has left the record behind, as argued in never hand a market agent a prediction.

Your own notes

If you kept the agent’s daily reports, hand them back for the weekly run. They are the best record you have, because they show what the map looked like when you looked. The habit of keeping them is in what to log so you can check an agent later. A weekly page built from your own saved reports can be checked line by line.

This fits beside a trader’s own review. The agent supplies what the market did. You supply what you did. A structure for the second half is in the weekly review ritual.

Why the record matters

History cannot be fetched after the fact. A level that was not logged on Tuesday is gone. That is the reason NoVo logs its own readings every pass, set out in the part of a data product that cannot be bought.

Where NoVo fits

The tools here are on the MCP & API. NoVo also publishes The Week Ahead on Sunday evening. The agent’s weekly page is the look back, built to your layout, from readings that were stored when they were true.
