A markets Super Intelligence gives you readings in sentences. Sentences are easy to believe. The habit worth building is to check one figure from each answer that matters. It takes about a minute and it tells you how far to trust the rest.

Find the number on the screen

Every figure Dr. NoVo reads has a home. A dealer level is on the Trader dashboard. A perp’s mark, funding or open interest is on the Stocks On-Chain tab of the Crypto Market Map. A trending coin is on the Robinhood tab. The implied open is on Trader’s Perps & Futures tab while the cash market is shut.

Open the page and find the figure. If it matches, good. If you cannot find where the figure would live at all, that is worth noticing. The principle is in an answer you cannot check is an opinion.

Check the age

A mismatch is often a timing gap. On Trader Pro the dealer read runs on a 5-minute cycle. A level quoted in an answer and the level on your screen can be a cycle apart. That is a difference in age. Nobody made an error.

Through the MCP & API, every reading carries as_of and age_seconds. Look at them. A figure that is seconds old and one that is hours old deserve different weight. A fuller routine is in is this market data stale.

Check the venue

Make sure you are comparing the same market. The same ticker can list on more than one perp book. A stock token’s price and the share’s price are different quotes. On a weekend a token price that is not the live midpoint is marked with an approximately sign on the map. If the SI gave a number for one market and you looked at another, the numbers will differ and both can be right.

Ask it where the number came from

Put the question directly. Which venue, which reading, how old. A markets SI should answer without strain, because it read the figure from somewhere. A system that gets vague when asked for its source did not have one.

Then ask for something that does not exist. The small-cap perp is a good test, because there is none. The right answer is that there is nothing to read.

When they still disagree

If the figure, the age and the venue all line up and the answer still differs from the screen, trust the screen. The dashboard is the reading. The sentence is a report of it. Then say so. A disagreement between the two is a bug worth reporting.

Why bother

Checking is not distrust. It is how any source earns its place. A desk note, a data vendor and a markets SI all deserve the same minute. NoVo publishes the kind of each timestamp, described in why we publish age_seconds, so that the check is possible.
