An agent that reads a perp once can tell you its open interest now. It cannot tell you whether that figure grew over the weekend or bled away. For that it needs the same reading at many points in time. On stock and index perps, the venue serves price history and funding history. It does not serve open-interest history.
The tool
NoVo’s collector writes down every perp’s open interest, funding and premium on each pass. The tool that serves that record is get_perp_history, and it needs a paid key. The agent names a market, and the tool returns one point per hour. Each point holds open interest in dollars, funding as a yearly rate, and the premium to the oracle. Why this series exists nowhere else is covered in the open interest history the venue does not serve.
Naming the market
A market is a book and a symbol together. The agent can pass that exact name, as get_perps returns it. It can also pass a plain ticker, and the tool uses the deepest book under that ticker and says which one it chose. Called with no arguments, the tool lists every market that has a record. The record covers the largest markets by open interest, so a small listing may have none.
Where the record ends
The record began on 4 October 2026. Every answer says how many hours it spans. A market outside the record comes back marked as not found. It does not come back as an empty series, because an empty series reads as a market where nothing happened. An hour the collector missed is left out of the series for the same reason. It is never filled with a zero.
Questions it answers
Has open interest on the S&P 500 perp grown since Friday’s close. When did funding on a name turn negative. Did the premium widen before the move or after it. These are all questions about a path. Ask the agent to quote the first and last hour it used, so you know the span behind the claim. The habit is the same one described in making the agent quote the age of every number.
The tools beside it
Two more paid tools sit beside this one. get_implied_open gives how far the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 perps have moved since the last cash close, with the seven largest names ranked by their own move. get_stock_tokens gives every Robinhood stock token with its shares on-chain and its mint and redeem flow. How to read that figure is in the implied open, reading SPY on a Saturday.
None of these tools predicts anything. They report what was measured and when. The chart of the same record is on the Stocks On-Chain tab of the Crypto Market Map.
