Dr. NoVo is the Financial Markets Super Intelligence behind NoVo’s reads. You can put a plain-English question to him, and through the NoVo MCP & API the tool for that is ask_novo. He knows the market. He does not know your account. So the quality of the answer depends on the question. This is a guide to asking well about something you already hold.
He cannot see your position
NoVo has no broker link. Dr. NoVo cannot look up what you own, your cost or your size. If those matter to the question, say them. “I hold SPY calls struck above the current price, expiring Friday” gives him a place to read from. “What about my calls” gives him nothing.
Name the instrument and the reading
The strongest questions name a thing he can read. For an index holding, that is the dealer map on SPY, QQQ or IWM.
“Where is SPY against the gamma flip, and how far is the call wall?” “Is my strike inside today’s expected move?” Both have factual answers drawn from current positioning.
For a large stock held over a weekend, ask about its perp. “How far has the NVDA perp moved since Friday’s close, and what is funding doing?” That reads a market that is open.
For a stock token: “Has the supply of this token changed this week?” For a coin on Robinhood Chain: “What is the pool depth on this contract, and are more wallets buying or selling?” Give the contract address, not the name.
Ask what changed
A holder’s most useful question is about change. “What is different on the SPY map since this morning?” Positioning moves through the day. Walls shift and the flip moves. A level you read at the open may have moved by the afternoon. What to ask about a position you already hold goes further on this.
Ask how old the answer is
Every reading from NoVo’s tools carries the time it was taken and its age in seconds. It also carries a kind: measured, retrieved or unknown. Ask for it. “As of when?” is a fair question to a markets SI, and a good answer includes the time without being asked. Make your agent say how old the number is covers why this matters most when an order may follow.
Questions he will not answer the way you want
“Should I sell?” He does not give advice. He can tell you where price sits, what the positioning is and what has changed. The decision is yours.
“Where will it open?” He makes no forecasts. He can tell you where the perp is trading now, as a market price on another venue.
“How much should I hold?” Sizing depends on your account and your tolerance, and he sees neither.
These are the limits of the product. NoVo is a readout. The answers stop where the reading stops.
A pattern that works
Ask three questions in a row. Where is it now, against the levels? What changed since I last looked? How old is that reading? Then close the chat and make the decision in your broker.
You can ask through ask_novo in any AI app that speaks MCP, as described in Dr. NoVo in your own AI app. His written reads also appear on the Trader dashboard beside the levels.
