Bitcoin Holds Long Gamma Above Its 82311 Flip
Bitcoin sits protected in positive territory as U.S. government transfers create chatter, leaving Ethereum stranded below its dealer line.

The wire woke up tracking wallet movements. 24/7 Wall St. reported that the U.S. government shifted $1.5 billion in seized crypto over two days, setting off the familiar round of distribution speculation across the forums. In the background, CoinDesk ran an analysis arguing that falling volatility hides fragility, noting that extreme swings remain more frequent than in past cycles.
That is what the wires say happened. Here is what the dealer book actually shows. Bitcoin is not showing the panic the commentary invites. Spot sits at 82,764.70, up 0.17% over the last 24 hours, comfortably positioned above its 82,311.52 gamma flip. Net GEX stands positive at 12,376,381. That regime matters: above the flip, dealers are structured as shock absorbers, taking the opposite side of intraday pushes to insulate the tape. Max pain rests just below current spot at 82,500, pinning the major near familiar ground.
Ethereum is dealing with an entirely different mechanical environment. Spot sits at 2,492.75, off 0.4%, stuck under its 2,518.90 flip. Net GEX is negative at -1,844,451, with max pain overhead at 2,540. Below the zero line, the shock absorber vanishes. Dealers in negative gamma are forced to hedge with the tape rather than against it, selling weakness and buying strength. That makes every move sharper and gives headlines more traction than they would find in Bitcoin.
Across the rest of the book, the split persists. Solana is pinned below its 110.24 flip at 109.81 with negative net GEX, while XRP rides a heavily insulated board at 1.41 against a 1.02 flip. 24/7 Wall St. pointed out that XRP ETFs gained ground while Bitcoin and Ethereum vehicles shed $317 million. You can read whatever narrative you want into government wallets or institutional fund rotation. On my map, the line is purely structural: Bitcoin is buffered by positive positioning, while Ethereum has no cushion beneath its feet until spot can reclaim its flip.
